24th Traditions!

Well the 24th of July just wouldn't be the same without the Rodeo. Every year we go at least a couple nights. Peggi and Gary get great seats through sponsoring it that we have been really spoiled. Parades, Rodeos, and crowds are all apart of our July traditions.

Hop Into Fun!

When I grew up I loved my Hoppidy Horse...(that's what we called it). It is fun to see your own children enjoying the same things you once did.

IT"S ACTUALLY GROWING!

If you plant it.....it will come. Who knew? Although the growing only came because Grumpy water it everyday and took care of it. We didn't realize we got our own personal gardner this year. We are learning though and really loved to see what kept growing all summer long.

Celebrate July 4th in Plain City

It's time again to decorate the bikes for Plain City's parade.
Every year we are woke by the fire sirens and now the
air raid siren (which is terribly loud) at 6:00 in the morning.
e get up and get the kids ready to ride in the parade.
Playing games at the park and eating a pancake breakfast
are something the kids look forward to.
We learned after last year not to let the kids try to catch a chicken :).
Then we like to get in our swimsuits at go swimming at Grandma's.
The kids are so worn out by the end of the day we have
never made it to the night fire works at Fremont High School.

Lake Powell Makes Me Smile!

I have always loved the atmosphere in Lake Powell. It is beautiful and fun! My first time in Lake Powell I fell in love with it and now am so excited to bring my kids here.
This trip we stayed in the hotels at Page and had a lot of wind but that didn't stop us from finding some fun. Josie almost got up waterskiing and Kate amazed me with her toe touch off the cliffs. Jace loves sand and a bucket and Casey loves fixing the boat :)! I just love everything about Lake Powell.

Dance Review Time

The dance review was here once again. The girls actually love performing every night. They love being silly with their friends and always beg to go to dinner Saturday night after the show.

This year Kate danced with the Minis and Josie was in Juniors along with their solos. They had several darling dances but they also got to dance in the production numbers. Kate danced in Alice in Wonderland....Twinkle Twinkle little star.....the little mice ran across the stage. It was cute. Josie danced in the production Tangled. She actually had a solo part and was the Rapunzel in her young days and danced off stage as Makenzie came on stage as Rapunzel all grown up. It was beautiful.

It is a lot of work getting them ready but so worth watching them.

Bear Canyon Camp

Memorial Weekend comes around and the kids get excited that we get to go on our first camp out. Funny with the busy summers it ends up almost being one of our last too. It always seems to be a little cold still but that doesn't stop the kids from having lots of fun. When camping with the Nielsen's we play lots of games and eat lots of good food.
